A little over 2x on the futures portfolio in the last month.
I posted a few weeks ago that I was closing this out all together when I hit $15K.
My gut told me to stay a little longer.
Following a guided system with a very systematic approach & keeping emotions out of it has been one of the hardest things to do… but 4 years later I’m still learning.
Idk how much longer I’m gonna keep this going as I really don’t care to blowup this futures account either. But man am I pleased at the results so far.
Today I am starting my public futures trading journey. My account has been loaded with $10,000. Here is my core framework:
- Risk less than 1% per trade.
- Minimum 2:1 reward-to-risk.
- Stop trading if down 3% in a day.
- Trade both directions.
- Do not increase exposure with wins.
Setups I will be trading:
- Mean Reversion Long: Buy reclaim after liquidity sweep; target next resistance.
- Momentum Short: Short breakdown with volume; target lower support.
- Range Fade: Long bottom, short top, exit at VWAP.
- Breakout Long: Buy clean breakouts with volume; target next major level.
Indicators I’ll be using:
- VWAP
- Liquidity maps
- Funding & OI
- RSI/MACD
Win or lose, I will be keeping this log up to date. I’ve had some incredible runs on futures in the last & have blown it all not practicing proper risk management. That will not be the case going forward.
Also, to be clear… I’m not an expert trader nor will I LARP as being one. My money has come from finding trends & being early to them. However, I do enjoy the thrill of trading. So I’m doing this for the love of the game.
