Have always struggled with taking holidays because of cultural pressure on spending money on assets rather than experiences.
This was until I learned from @TheRealNomics that the life experiences are actually the whole reason why we work so hard for - having life experienced base goals rather than monetary goals.
Recently came back from a 2 week holiday with the family. It was our first time travelling together. The excitement, enthusiasm and joy from seeing the kids experience a different country and culture made every $ spent worth it.
